We are starting new monthly webinars soon. Every first Thursday of the month, free online webinars will be held starting at 1 p.m.

09/03 - CATIA V5 Core & Cavity module webinar

Start: 1 p.m.
About the webinar:
The CATIA V5 Core & Cavity module is intended to create a dividing plane thus defining the top and bottom of the tool model. It also allows geometry analysis to determine the technological suitability of the 3D model. The module is easy to use. The entire history of the dividing plane is recorded in the structure of the trees, which provides excellent transparency.
The Core & Cavity module is part of the MTE licence, which includes other modules, such as Mold Tooling Design for the production of the entire tool. Libraries of standard parts, well-known manufacturers DME, Hasco, PCPK,…. The MTE package also includes surface modules such as Generative Shape Design 1 and advanced Healing Assistant 1 surface repair tools.

01/10 - Reverse engineering

Start: 1 p.m. Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Start: 1:30 p.m. Slovenia
About the webinar:
Reverse engineering is very common in various fields such as software engineering, automotive, consumer products, microchips, chemicals, electronics and mechanical design.
In the webinar we will talk more about the topic Reverse engineering.

05/11 - Advanced use of material models in Abaqus

Start: 1 p.m. Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Start: 2 p.m. Slovenia
About the webinar:
Abaqus contains a wide range of material models by which we can list the rheological properties of many engineering materials, such as metals, rubber and plastics, concrete, viscous liquids, and composite materials. At the webinar, we will present models of elastic, hyperelastic, viscoelastic and plastic materials, as well as models that describe material damage. We will show how we can quickly determine the parameters of some complex material models with the help of the Abaqus integrated optimization scheme.

10/12 - Cost reduction Strategies

Start: 1 p.m.
About the webinar:

The cost pressure in the development of sheet metal components has come into focus in the latest years. More than ever, it is necessary to know the manufacturing costs for a component.

In this webinar “Cost reduction Strategies” the company Hexagon FTI will show how to use their solutions embedded into CATIA. You will learn how to identify the cost for a component in an early phase as well as the geometry issues thereby reducing downstream design changes.

About the Forming Technologies (FTI):

  • FTI is the industry standard technology for costing, design, and early manufacturing feasibility of sheet metal components
  • FTI helps manufacturers reduce their sheet metal spend (light-weighting) and tooling costs on average of 3% to 5% per program and decreases engineering changes due to formability issues by 33% on average

14/01 - CATIA webinar: Add parametric text & logos to your CATPARTs

Start: 1 p.m.
About the webinar:

This webinar is organized in cooperation with Gravotech company.

Webinar agenda:
- Create your parametric text directly in CATIA with Type3-CAA* add-on;
- Vectorize logos in CATIA;
- Map your text & graphic elements on your 3D CATPART;
- Re-edit everything in seconds;
- Q&A.

*Type3-CAA was developed in partnership with Dassault Systemes. Type3-CAA provides CATIA users with professional tools to quickly integrate text and graphic elements on CATPARTs. Working with Type3-CAA generates huge time savings, reduces data volume and gives a better visualization of 3D models… This is why many leading companies in various industries have chosen to work with Type3-CAA!

18/02 - Software products and customized solutions for sheet metal industry

Start: 1 p.m.
About the webinar:
The webinar will focus on a brief presentation of the Infolab company and its fundamental software solutions and then proceed with a demo of our main product CAMlab.

Webinar summary:

  • The Company
  • Products: CAMlab – CUTlab – PUNCHlab – Production Manager
  • Why Infolab
  • CAMlab demo

About the lecturer:

My name is Enrico Gavio. I joined Infolab in 2018 as “Export Sales Manager” in order to help the company to enter foreign markets. Before that, I held various roles in sales and marketing, always in high tech companies such as software for industrial automation and ICT.

18/03 - Q-Checker: A management system for Product Data Quality

Start: 1 p.m.
About the webinar:
Fixing geometry problems constitutes a significant design cost, not only in terms of time and quality, but also in wasted human and material resources. The repairs that are not made at the outset are often compounded when users of different downstream applications use different methods to “fix” the original model. Find out how to identify and repair critical defects before faulty features lead to additional geometric problems!
